About the City of Chandler

The City of Chandler is located just South East of Phoenix and considered a part of the East-Valley. It is in Maricopa County. According to Wikipedia, the City started when Alexander John Chandler acquired 18,000 acres of land East of Phoenix around 1900. By 1920 it was officially an incorporated city. By 1980 there were 30,000 residents, today that number is well north of 275,000 residents. Mr Chandler once owned the San Marcos Hotel in the heart of Chandler, but it was removed from his possession by creditors during the Cotton Crash that followed the Great Depression.

Our Connection to Chandler, Arizona

When our family relocated from Indiana to Arizona, Andrew's new office was on S Price Rd in Chandler. Even though we chose to live in Maricopa, Andrew spent most of his time in Chandler working 50 hours a week.

Being a life long fan of golf, he quickly fell in love with San Marcos Golf Course. It was the first grass course in Arizona and reminded him of the course he grew up playing Echo Hills Golf Course in Piqua, Oh.

So when our junk removal business outgrew Maricopa, Az, Chandler was the logical place to go since we know the area.
