Steps to remove a spa.

1. Disconnect electrical - Locate the power supply to your hot tub, and turn off the circuit breaker.  Or, just simply unplug it.  We can disconnect the control panel at the hot tub, leaving your line, but if you want it disconnected at the box, you'll need an electrician.
2. Drain the hot tub  (you handle) Don't worry if there is still a little water.
3. Demo and load the spa (we handle)
4. Clean up and haul it away (we handle)

Our flat rate pricing to demo and haul away an above ground spa, jacuzzi, or hot tub is simple and easy. If your hot tub has 5 seats or less, the cost is about $300. If your hot tub has 6 seats or more, then the hot tub removal service is about $400. This includes the complete removal of the spa or hot tub shell, cover, cabinet, haul away labor, and disposal fees.

One variable in the price is based on what your hot tub sits on.  If your spa is sitting on wooden decking, it will require additional labor to help lift a side to slide a board under it to protect the surface below it.

Another is the surrounding, we need full access to at least two sides of the spa to remove it.  If your hot tub is surrounded by bricks, it may be beyond our capacity.

And lastly, rodent infestation.  Every single hot tub we've removed has been infested with mice or rats.  If they're long gone and we're just cleaning up their mess, no problem, but if the infestation is active, we'll need to dawn respirators at an additional cost.

What to expect during the hot tub removal?

We do our best to make the spa demo and removal as painless as possible, but there are a few things to be aware of during this process. Unless, you have a very light acrylic spa, we’ll need to use power tools to cut up the hot tub. Power tools will be used and some noise will be produced. Overall it should take 1-2 hours to remove your hot tub with a 1-2 man crew.  We also strive to use only battery powered tools, but we may need to plug in an electric saw to your home as needed.

Why can’t you remove it in one piece?

Most hot tubs weigh over 500 lbs plus the residual water left in the internal plumbing. We could bring in a 5 man crew, or a crane, but the price would go up significantly.
